It was very interesting to hear about all these participating companies at different stages in their journey. We should measure R&D as a percentage of value-added and if we have a very good matrix for the values of return on R&D, then surely we will spend much more on R&D. Spending this money wisely has huge returns, and a lot of it is related to interactions. There has to be a lot of interaction with the business as well as the freedom to engage with your own ideas. I would like to engage more people in this course. Promoting R&D throughout India and doing it correctly is an excellent idea.
Excellent presentations. I was personally fascinated as I got to see a multiplicity of approaches. A vision was created from the presentations. The nuances from one model can be useful for someone else. It can be a great tool for companies. Governance in R&D is a key issue. It needs to go a level up at the board level, as it is a hygiene factor and must have in the company.
